Fiserv, Trulioo Streamline Client Onboarding

Financial technology provider Fiserv has partnered with Trulioo, a specialist in identity verification, to simplify client identity and business checks. Announced on 2 October 2026, this collaboration aims to streamline onboarding and underwriting processes for companies operating across international markets.

The initiative seeks to reduce manual work and promote more consistent decision-making for Fiserv's clients as they expand globally.

Trulioo's Verification Technology

Trulioo will supply its comprehensive verification capabilities to support these enhanced processes. Its identity verification suite integrates diverse data points, document inspections, and fraud indicators within configurable workflows.

For business verification, Trulioo employs both global and local data sources to confirm company details, ascertain ownership structures, and deliver standardised outputs for risk assessment. This approach addresses the complexity of checks required as businesses enter new territories.

Addressing Global Expansion Complexities

Vicky Bindra, Chief Executive Officer at Trulioo, noted that businesses should not need to reconstruct their verification systems for each new market. She stated Trulioo's global data coverage and flexible workflows will help Fiserv's clients manage diverse local requirements while maintaining secure and consistent identity assurance.

Sanjay Saraf, Fiserv’s Global Chief Product Officer for Merchant Solutions, added that expanding businesses require efficient onboarding and identity verification without added complexity.

Why it matters

This partnership offers a streamlined approach for companies, including those in Asia, seeking to expand their operations internationally. By standardising identity and business verification, firms can potentially reduce compliance costs and accelerate market entry in diverse regulatory environments.

Asian businesses engaged in cross-border trade or financial services may find it easier to onboard new clients and partners, mitigating operational friction often associated with disparate local verification standards. This supports faster growth and more efficient risk management across their global footprint.
